Meet the team

I live in the Cambridgeshire Fens with my large family and have a host of animals from chickens to dogs and horses. MS forced me to give up full time work and crafting has filled that void.

Looking back I realise that I have been crafting all my life in one form or another but when my cardmaking addiction started I was instantly drawn to rubber stamping and the versatility it offered, especially to someone like myself with little artistic ability.

I love all things inky, have a particular fetish for floral, nature and silhouette stamps with a slant towards vintage and creating rural scenes. I also love playing with colour and experimenting with colour palettes which to some might be a bit 'off the wall' but it fascinates me how the unexpected often works so well.

I live in the midwest part of the US with my family, our two cats Thomas and Fussy, and 5 guppies. When I was younger I never did anything creative or crafty due to  lack of time, but after meeting my husband and moving from Europe to the US to be with him, I wasn't able to work until I received my work permit. So my husband (who himself loves all things artsy and creative) suggested I look for a hobby in the meantime. I like to "blame" him for my card  making addiction. He is very supportive of it, however, I do occasionally get to hear why couldn't I have chosen cooking or cleaning as a hobby LOL.

I have been making cards since 2002, and I love all things cute and pretty in paper crafting. I love coloring with my oil based pencils (Faber Castell Polychromos). Besides card making, I like to spend time with my family, taking walks on nice days, reading, and visiting new places. Online I love to check out blogs, and pinterest for all kinds of inspiration. I have also been wanting to start creating my own jewelry, but haven't started yet :-)

I live in Ontario, Canada and I’ve had some kind of creative outlet since I can remember, but severe rheumatoid arthritis forced me to give up all of my hobbies.

I was happy to discover rubber stamping and I’ve been making cards for five years. I LOVE to colour with a paintbrush and usually distress inks, but I also use twinkling H2Os, dye-based markers and watercolour pencils. I’ve taught colouring with distress inks at my local stamp store that I design for and luckily for me, the owner keeps a good stock of Penny Black stamps; the hedgies and mice are my favourites.

I'm Lynn known as Linby in blogland to distinguish me from all the other Lynn's! A combo of my first name and first letter of my surname and also a village close to where I live.

I've always made things, mainly dressmaking, followed by cross stitching and then in 1990 I went to a Craft show and saw heat embossing and loved you could colour in and not go over the lines - so began my card making. Once I had stumbled into blogland in 2009 my work got better and the challenges have helped me expand my boundaries and techniques. A fashionista at heart I do favour the fashion style stamps, but love all Penny Black stamps.

I'm Mervi and I live with my hubby and daughter in Southern Finland. I've been playing and seriously working with colours and shapes nearly all my life.

As a child, I used to make clothes for paper dolls and nowadays one of my crafting hobbies is making mixed media art dolls. My crafting history contains painting, paper collages, crocheting, sewing and concrete works.

I found stamping and cardmaking about ten years ago. Penny Black's stamps was my first love. My style varies a lot from the cuties to vintage and I can always find a suitable stamp from PB."

I am Shirley and I was born and raised in Norwich, Norfolk and moved to Mersea Island on the East coast of Essex, England, 11 years ago. I live with my very supportive husband and have two grown up children and one granddaughter.

I started my crafting journey at a very young age when my grandmother taught me to stitch crinoline ladies on chair arm covers. Over the years I have dabbled in all sorts of crafts, from cross stitch to watercolour painting.

I trained to be a florist in 1999 and my love of colour and design finally led me to paper crafting in 2002. Myself and a small group of close friends meet regularly to craft and put the world to rights over home made cheesecake and several cups of tea and coffee. Joining the Penny Black and More team with the very organised Brenda at the helm is a lovely highlight in my life which I hope will continue.

I'm Susan and an addict...of all things cute. I started knitting when l was six then went on to embroidery, got a sewing machine for my 21st birthday and made most of my clothes and my childrens - the machine is still going strong 31 years later.

I started making cards about 8 years ago and my first love of stamps was Penny Black hedgies, l love colouring with copics and pencils. I find papercrafting very theraputic and peaceful. Blogland has opened up my world to so many lovely people and l am so grateful to be part of it x Susan x

I have a lovely hubby John of 18 years and I'm a very happy Mum of three gorgeous children, Scott 17, Jodie 14 and Bobby 7. And six adorable pets too.

I started card making about three and a half years ago, when I found blogland and saw all the beautiful cards. I had just started scrapbooking then, but loved all the cards, so thought I'd give it a go. Bought a couple of stamps and loved the fact I didn't need to be an artist to produce something decent by my own hand, In the past I have done Knitting, cross stitch and Embroidery too.

I just love rubber stamping so much, and I love blogging because everytime I log on I'm inspired by so many talented crafters. I am part of five lovely design teams, Stamping Sensations, Penny Black @ Allsorts, House Mouse & Friends, Joanna Sheen and Allsorts. I feel very proud to be part of them and with so many very talented ladies too.
